That's one thing that bugged the crap out of me when we lived in DC - the absolute panic that sets in whenever a snow flake is in sight.

Of course, it's just as bad down here, but at least it doesn't snow very often in SE Virginia. It snows several times a year in DC, sometimes a lot. You'd think it wouldn't be a surprise any more!Lawyer Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06819273107327846943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24607242.post-90566350327547698582007-03-08T18:36:00.000-05:002007-03-08T18:36:00.000-05:00It's funny - they've had similar "snow days" aroun...It's funny - they've had similar "snow days" around here. I don't know if time has altered my memory or if it's true, but I don't remember having that many snow days when I was young.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24607242.post-89755565622300031692007-03-08T10:12:00.000-05:002007-03-08T10:12:00.000-05:00Your life on a snow day sounds eerily like mine .....Your life on a snow day sounds eerily like mine ... As soon as our management agreed to paid snow days in our contract they stopped calling them. Even if everything else in the county is shut down, we still open. I don't mind not getting snow days per se, but the sneakiness smacks of bargaining in bad faith.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24607242.post-51156651160430701712007-03-08T09:21:00.000-05:002007-03-08T09:21:00.000-05:00To tell you the truth, Des, I did have a class to ...To tell you the truth, Des, I did have a class to teach today, but I handed it off to another instructor... his daughter is an adult.Gunfighterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05762432006297768871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24607242.post-33091204055606751662007-03-08T08:17:00.000-05:002007-03-08T08:17:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Gunfighterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05762432006297768871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24607242.post-77549154900806122712007-03-08T07:47:00.000-05:002007-03-08T07:47:00.000-05:00We had about the same amount of snow here in NY.
