Conversations With Olivia (pt. 1)

Yesterday, walking from Target to the Supermarket:

Oliva: Daddy? Will you carry me?

Gunfighter: Not right now, baby, my hands are full.

Olivia: You used to carry me AND other things!

Gunfighter: You are bigger now than you were then, babe.

Olivia: You'd better get back into the gym, Daddy!

Gunfighter: (Silent)

Have you been slacking off on going to the gym?

Aren't some conversations just precious? Love it.

Being a parent is not unlike being a beast of burden, is it? In college, I used to be a nanny for three little girls. That was the one time in my life when I actually developed some upper body strength!

Children certainly have a way, don't they?

I LOVE when they say stuff like that! :)

Our daughter, almost 7, wants to start sleeping in our bed (which isn't going to happen). But as I explained that there just isn't enough room in a queen size bed for the three of us, she matter of factly stated, "Well, you could buy a KING size bed!"

Kids are amazing. They can make you feel like a super-hero one minute, then take it all away the next.
